On 17th, it was released that biomedical beauty group Ultra V (CEO Kwon Han-Jin) was selected for the 2024 IP (Intellectual Property Rights)-based overseas expansion support (Global IP Star Company) project hosted by the Korean Intellectual Property Office and the Korea Invention Promotion Association. 

 

Ultra V received support from the government for overseas rights (application, OA, registration) costs, production of patented technology promotional videos, patent map, design map, design development (product, packaging, video), design mock-up, and brand development (new, You will receive comprehensive support benefits such as renewal) and non-English brand development for 3 years.

 

The IP-based overseas expansion support project aims to foster small and medium-sized enterprises that have export records or are planning to export in 2024 into IP small and medium-sized enterprises through comprehensive support related to intellectual property rights for three years.

 

Ultra V was recognized for its intellectual property capabilities through the first intellectual property spectrum diagnosis and corporate due diligence and the second presentation review, and was selected as a global IP star company in the Daejeon region in 2024. It was also selected in 2019 to strengthen its core capabilities.

 

Ultra V is focusing on research and development to strengthen its technological competitiveness, and as a result of its research, it holds about 190 intellectual property rights, including domestic and foreign patents, trademarks and designs.

 

In particular, ‘Ultracol’, Ultra V’s main export item, is a microsphere made of PDO (POLYDIOXANONE) and is a product processed from PDO microparticles by applying Ultra V’s unique patented technology. It currently holds KFDA certification, European CE certification and China's Hainan Province CFDA certification and has been recognized for its technology by winning the IR52 Jang Young-Sil Award and the Korea Patent Grand Prize for its unrivaled patented technology.

 

An official from Ultra V said, “We are pleased to be able to further promote Ultra V’s technology and competitiveness to the global market through this selection as a global IP star company.” He added, “Through this selection for support projects, we will strengthen our competitiveness in the global market and stand high as a world-class biomedical company.” he said.

 

Meanwhile, Ultra V plans to continue to legitimize its research and development achievements by forming a diversified patent portfolio.
